What is Catalina Does Things?

A whimsical, small-batch shop featuring cute, funky, and weird PLA 3D-printed earrings. Discover unique designs that make a statement.

How much are the earrings?

Every pair is $5, plus a flat $5 shipping per order.

Is there really a Catalina that does these things?

Yes. Catalina is real, and she really does these things. Each pair of earrings is 3D printed and assembled by Catalina in her living room studio, which means they are not stamped out by a mystery factory or launched from a warehouse void. They are small, made-to-order pieces, so tiny variations may happen from pair to pair. Nothing dramatic. Just the kind of little differences that prove an actual human made them, probably while surrounded by supplies, ideas, and at least one project in progress.

What are they made of?

All earrings are 3D printed from PLA (polylactic acid, a plant-based plastic) and use surgical grade stainless steel fishhook hardware. They're lightweight and comfortable for all-day wear.

Are they safe for sensitive ears?

Yes! The surgical grade stainless steel hardware is well-tolerated by sensitive ears. If you have severe metal sensitivities, feel free to reach out before ordering.

How do I care for my earrings?

PLA is durable but can warp in high heat. Keep them away from hot cars, radiators, and direct sunlight for extended periods. Clean gently with a soft, damp cloth. Don't soak them.

How long until my order ships?

All orders ship within 3 business days. You'll receive a confirmation email when your order is placed and another when it ships.

What does shipping cost?

Shipping is a flat $5 per order. We ship earrings in a small padded mailer via USPS Ground Advantage, so your order is protected, trackable, and less likely to get smashed on its way to you. The $5 covers postage and packaging. It's a flat rate per order — buy one pair or several and you pay the same $5 shipping. No weird checkout math.

What's your return policy?

Due to the made-to-order nature of these items, all sales are final. If your earrings arrive damaged or defective, email catalina@catalinadoesthings.com within 7 days of delivery and we'll make it right.

Can I request custom colors or designs?

Yes! Head to our Custom Orders page to submit a request. We're always adding new colors and drops, and we love hearing what you'd like to see next.
